Honors Program
‘The Rome Experience’ is a specially tailored interdisciplinary course that brings together art history, communications and film, history, literature, philosophy and politics to create a unique fourteen week program. The course explores Rome from its mythical foundations to the twenty-first century focusing on historical moments of transition and upheaval that formed the city’s unique character chosen from:
- The Age of Augustus: from Republic to Empire
- Renaissance, Reformation and Renewal
- Futurism and Fascism
Under the supervision of a faculty member, a student in ‘The Rome Experience’ researches, prepares and presents a substantial project reflecting her or his individual major and specific interests with regard to Rome.
