Interdisciplinary Studies
The major in Interdisciplinary Studies is taken by a small number of students who have a specific interest that is not encompassed by traditional disciplinary boundaries. The student, in conjunction with an advisor, creates an individualized program of study which incorporates the same proportion of lower and upper division courses as the other degree programs. A recent example of a successful Interdisciplinary major was one focused on Rome as inspiration in literature, art and film. This comprised courses covering Art History, English and Italian literature and film.
