The American University of Rome (AUR) is pleased to announce the launch of a formal partnership in international education with the State University of New York (SUNY) in cooperation with and through the SUNY Fredonia campus. Long a host of SUNY study abroad students through the portal of Broome Community College (BCC), whose graduates continue to enjoy preferential admission to AUR through an articulation agreement which continues in force, AUR is pleased to announce this upgraded agreement, designed to better serve upper-division SUNY students.
The American University of Rome is an international four-year degree-granting liberal arts college offering American BA and BS degrees with instruction in small classes conducted 100% in English to students from the world over. AUR recently upgraded its US accreditation by action of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and remains eager to commingle in its international student body academically well prepared US college and university students for semester or year-long study.
Resident AUR students and visiting SUNY students will learn from each other in and out of the classroom. SUNY students will continue to enjoy a well designed and superbly supported study abroad program and will return to complete their SUNY degree most often wonderfully transformed by their academic and cultural experience in the amazing classroom that is the Eternal City.
Beginning immediately, 4-year SUNY students from Fredonia or any other SUNY College or University can enroll in a SUNY approved study abroad program at AUR’s Rome campus and take advantage of SUNY Fredonia’s US based administrative and support services and AUR’s and SUNY Fredonia’s quality assurance infrastructure.
