Professor Maurizio Marmorstein won the Joplin Award from the prestigious BlueCat Screenwriting Competition marking the third time this year the script ‘One Night in Asbury Park’ garnered top honors from a major international screenwriting competition. This latest award sparked numerous requests from producers and literary agents resulting in an agreement with Crossroads Entertainment and Management for whom Professor Marmorstein has agreed to develop a screenplay on the tragic life of Frankii Depaula, a noted Italian-American boxer in the 1960’s. Professor Marmorstein has also recently completed his latest full-length screenplay, ‘Joyride,’ a psychological thriller based on one of his stage plays produced over thirty years ago in New York City and San Francisco.
