Professor Fitzsimmons spent 15 years in management and marketing at Time Inc. in New York and at Playtex Italia in Rome after earning her MBA at Harvard. A hallmark of her teaching style is the ability to bring this “real-world” experience into the classroom to exemplify and enliven business concepts and models.
Professor Fitzsimmons has led the development of six concentrations and a number of interdisciplinary programs in the business curriculum at AUR, serves as advisor to the AUR Business Club and AUR Campus Girl Scouts and directs the AUR Abroad program. She is the Chair of USA Girl Scouts Overseas – Rome and over-sees the location’s management team.
