Professor Ennis, Ireland’s best known artist in Italy, has taught Painting, Drawing and Printmaking in Italy for over twenty two years. Her work is in the collections of the Calcografia Nazionale di Roma, the Museo Internazionale della Donna nell’Arte, Abruzzi, Louvain Institute for Ireland, Belgium, Embassy of Ireland to the Holy See, Rome, Fatebenefratelli Hospital in Rome, The Presidential Residence, ‘Aras an Uachtarain’ Dublin and Vatican Radio Headquarters in Rome, Museo Internazionale della Microarte, Molise.
She exhibited earlier this year in a group show in Temple University Rome ‘Rome as Studio’ and was interviewed by the BBC World Service ‘The Strand’ on the work of Caravaggio shown in an exhibition of the artist’s work held in the Scuderie del Quirinale.
Since 2000 she has been an Art History Collaborator for Vatican Radio, speaking regularly on their English programmes and publishing articles in The Journal of Sacred Architecture, Notre Dame University and in the Journal of ‘Arte Sacra’. She is also a faculty member of the Master’s in ‘Architettura, Arti Sacre e Liturgia’ at the Universita degli Studi Europea di Roma-Ateneo Pontificio Regina Apostolorum.
