The US Government’s Role within the United Nations’ Food Agencies in Rome

A lecture delivered by David J. Lane, US Ambassador to the UN Agencies in Rome, on the role and policies of the US Administration within the three food agencies (FAO, IFAD and WFP) in Rome. The lecture is open to the entire AUR community.
Amb. Lane, a native of the State of Florida, was appointed to his present position by President Obama on April 16, 2012. He has more than twenty years of experience working both in the non-profit sector (including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Transparency International USA) and in government (he has been an Assistant to President Obama and Counselor to the White House Chief of Staff). He is a member of the prestigious Council on Foreign Relations.
