What’s NEW at AUR this Summer?
In line with AUR’s mission to offer innovative and relevant programs, the university is adding several new and exciting courses to our already popular summer sessions.
In a 6 week format, our new blended courses begin online, and then move to face-to-face instruction in the classroom, less intensive than previously, but with all the added benefits of on-campus class and community.
The NEW Blended course for Summer I is:
- ITL 100 Introduction to Italian Language and Culture
The Online portion of this course begins May 19th, and the on-campus portion of the course begins May 29th. This course finishes on June 26th.
The NEW Blended courses for Summer II are:
The Online portion of these courses begins June 18th, and the on-campus portion of these courses begins July 3rd. These courses finish on July 30th.
Online Courses (available for audit from anywhere in the world!)
We will be offering 2 Online courses which are taught COMPLETELY online, maintaining the structure provided by the professor but with the freedom and comfort of flexibility.
The NEW Online courses for Summer are:
- ARC 312 Forensic Geo-archeology
- ARCL 309 Daily life in Ancient Rome
Coursework begins May 19th and ends July 30th. As the entire course will be done ONLINE, there is no need for students to be on-campus or even in Rome.
AUR’s Archaeology and Classics department will be running a 3-credit Archaeology practicum (read: dig) in Rome, offering the unique opportunity for a hands-on and practical experience to our students held entirely onsite.
New Course Offerings
AUR will offer a series of new courses in different areas such as Sportswriting, Fashion Marketing, Video Editing and, as we are in Rome, the melting pot of UN food agencies, a course in Food Studies.
