Computer Support and Services
For Faculty &
Administration
- Instructional Equipment.
The office provides adequate and functional
instructional equipment for faculty to use during
class session. This includes laptop & projector
lending and support for Smart classroom use.
- WLAN.
Wireless access to the network is available
from indoor and outdoor locations on campus.
- Faculty web pages.
Faculty may create and maintain web pages relating
to classes being taught at AUR.
- E-Mail accounts.
All Faculty and Administration may have access
to a personal e-mail account. Office or department
e-mail accounts may be requested from the Office
of Computer Services.
- Technical Support.
Support is available from the Office of Computer
Services (walk-in or e-mail).
N.B. The Office of Computer Services does not
provide support for personal laptops.
For Students
- General PurposeComputer
Labs. AUR has two general purpose computer
labs. The main lab is located on the ground
floor of Building A, and a small lab is located
in the Library: Building B, First floor. PCs run MS Windows XP and Windows Vista and are equipped with
office productivity software. Internet access
and printing facilities are available in both
labs. Please ensure that you read the "Policy
on Computer Use" in the student handbook
before using the labs. Help desk facilities
are available in the main computer lab.
- Specialized Computer
Labs . AUR has five specialized labs.
These labs are strictly course related labs
and may only be used by students enrolled in
the required course or program.
Multimedia Lab: This lab is
available to Communication students enrolled
in select Film-related courses and boasts Macintosh
G5 machines. The Multimedia Lab is located on
the bottom floor of the Carini building.
Physics Lab: Located on the
top floor of Building, AUR's Physics lab offers
new Dell computers accompanied by the best view
on campus.
Language Lab: The Italian Language
Lab is located in the Calandrelli Building and
is equipped with language learning software.
CAD Lab: Located in the Carini
Building, the CAD lab offers professional design
software to select students.
- MyAUR
Both resident students and study abroad students
have access to an on-line
profile where they can check their registration
status, their end of semester grades, print
a record of their grades and access a series
of online forms.
- WLAN Wireless
access to the network is available from indoor
and outdoor locations on campus.
- E-Mail accounts.
AUR e-mail accounts are available to all regularly
registered students. Study Abroad students may
request an e-mail account from the Office of
Computer Services.
- Scanning facilities.
A scanner is available for student use in the
main computer lab.
- Technical Support.
Support is available from the Office of Computer
Services (walk-in or e-mail) and from student
assistants stationed in the Computer Lab.

provide support for personal laptops.
