For computer lab hours, please check the notice boards on campus.
Hours are extended during
midterm exam week and final exam week. Summer
hours may vary, please check the schedule posted
in the computer labs.
The main lab is equipped with
50 PC workstations with 17” LCD screens.
All PCs run Windows XP and are equipped with CD
burner, DVD reader and are abundant in USB ports.
All computers are networked to the university
LAN and give students access to the Internet and
printing facilities. Dedicated workstations include
a scanner station and a PC with Web Cam facilities
and Skype enabled. The Lab is also covered by
Wi-Fi and Ethernet jacks are also available to
students to connect laptops to the LAN. The lab
is partially staffed by student assistants who
cover evening hours and weekend hours. During
the day, assistance is available from the Office
of Computer Services.
The library lab is equipped
with 10 PC workstations with 17” LCD screens.
All PCs run Windows XP and are equipped with CD
burner, DVD reader and are abundant in USB ports.
DVDs for viewing may be checked out from the library
reception area along with headphones. All computers
are networked and provide students with Internet
and printing facilities. Wi-Fi and Ethernet access
to the Internet is available in all library areas
for students with laptops. The library lab is
unattended, however support can be obtained from
the library staff or from the Office of Computer
Services.
Students should ascertain
that they have up-to-date virus protection software
installed on their laptop before connecting to
the network.
Supplies
CDs and disks can be purchased from the Finance
office.
Ethernet cables can be purchased from the Office
of Computer Services.
