As of Spring 2007 AUR occupies 5 buildings which are very near one another.
Latest acquisition is Carini 23 Building, a 5 story building of the ‘70s designed by a famous Italian Architect (Paolo Portoghesi) worth of 500 sqm and about 25 rooms, just 2 minutes away from main campus entrance. This acquisition allows the Physical Plant department to meet objective of locating accommodation for three additional full-time faculty and addressing needs of the expanding Communication department. It also allows the move of the Library to Evans’ Hall with greater space and increased study area in a very peaceful and attractive study environment.
The approximate size of the campus is of 3,000 sqm or 32,000 sqf. The Physical Plant Department provides space, furniture and building equipment.
The Physical Plant office aims to enhance upkeep, maintain and improve facilities of the University. The objective of the department is to support the mission and academic goals of the University. Our approach is centered upon providing a superior level of customer service.
The main duties of the Physical Plant office are:
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail for the institution and its students
- Provide security services
- Provide routine and extraordinary cleaning
- Provide repairs and maintenance of premises and equipment either directly or through outsourced servicers
- Provide gardening
- Furnish and equip administrative and instructional space
- Look for additional space and negotiate contractual obligations
- Maintain relationship and obligations with current landlords
SECURITY

A Crisis Management Team and an Emergency Team are available in case of need.
