If I had to do it again…

The advice former first year students wish they had been given in their first semester:

Be yourself. And don’t over-think things. Meet with your professors.
Reem Abdulwahab (spring 2008)

Go to class! Be prepared – that way you don’t feel overwhelmed. And use the help desks.
Matteo Bruscolini (spring 2008)

Get to know your Academic Advisor. And make connections with the students in your class.
Dana Al-Saddik (spring 2008)

Speak up! If you have a question in class – ask. You’re probably not the only one who doesn’t understand. And balance your social/study life. Don’t procrastinate – make priorities.
Melissa Abraham (spring 2008)

Deal with homesickness. Stay healthy and eat right.
Vittoria Santini (spring 2008)
