of International Relations - Curriculum
The curriculum for the Bachelor of Arts in International
Relations provides the student with the practical
and theoretical skills required to operate professionally
in the field of international relations. The regional
emphasis focuses on Europe, the Mediterranean
and Middle East, with methodological courses in
politics, economics, public administration, law
and other areas of related interest.
In addition to the requisite classroom time,
students pursuing an AUR degree in International
Relations are given the opportunity to supplement
class lectures with bi-annual international conferences
which address issues of current topical interest
and give students opportunities to meet, listen
to and question those who develop and implement
international relations policy. Students can also
participate in relevant field trips around Italy,
Europe and beyond, and internship possibilities
in Rome, at organizations dedicated to the pursuit
of enhanced international cooperation.
The Bachelor of Arts in International Relations
requires successful completion of 120 credits
made up of a 42 credit general education requirement,
a 60 credit major and 18 credits of free electives.
Students must achieve a cumulative grade point
average of no less than 2.0 on a 4.0 scale, and
earn at least a C grade (2.0) in every course
in the major (60 credits).
