The curriculum for the Bachelor of Arts in Italian
Studies is designed to meet the needs of students
who are committed to the study of Italy, its language
and its culture. Special emphasis is placed on
language skills and literature, but courses are
also taken in a wide range of related areas such
as art history, cinema and music appreciation.
The Bachelor of Arts in Italian Studies requires
successful completion of 120 credits made up of
a 42 credit general education requirement, a 60
credit major and 18 credits of free electives.
Students must achieve a cumulative grade point
average of no less than 2.0 on a 4.0 scale, and
earn at least a C grade (2.0) in every course
in the major (60 credits).
