The statements

To support the mission of The American University of Rome, the Library engages in offering adequate access to resources, assist students and faculty and provide instruction in information literacy.

The objectives

Provide adequate access to information and resources both physical and virtual

Liaise with academic staff to identify the information needs of Library users

Provide innovative services and comprehensive access to information founded on our developing resources and relations with outside resource centers (such as other libraries and institutions)

Provide advice, assistance and skills training in using documents and information sources

Provide study space, equipment and an environment conducive to study and learning
