Dal Punto di Vista di Giulia

Communication Major Alessandra Potenza, aged 20, is presenting her first published book in Rome on January 29. “Dal Punto di Vista di Giulia” is a diary novel about a young girl who moves with her family from the large city of Trieste to a small town in Friuli Venezia Giulia, in the north-east of Italy. It is a teenage story full of optimism and reflections about the meaning of friendship and love, a novel that pictures one of the most difficult periods of life, adolescence.

Alessandra Potenza, who will graduate next May in Communication with a minor in English writing, wrote this novel when she was twelve, the same age of the main character in the book. “I have always dreamed of publishing “Dal Punto di Vista di Giulia” and, finally, my dream came true last summer” she said.

Alessandra presented her book in Genoa on November 4th and she will present it in Rome on January 29th. The presentation will be held at 6pm at Bibli, a well known bookshop and cultural center in Trastevere that Alessandra has always loved. Along with her, the writer Maria Teresa Casella will present the novel, while the actor Mino Caprio will read and perform some extracts. Alessandra’s sister, piano maestro Francesca Potenza, will accompany the presentation with some pieces by Bach, Liszt and Debussy.
