Professor Mark S. Graham has taught for the American University of Rome for three years and has 16 years experience as an adjunct professor. He has taught for colleges and graduate schools in Turkey, Italy, Germany, and College Park, Maryland.

Professor Graham retired from active duty as a Colonel in the United States Army after over 27 years of service. He was a Judge Advocate (Army lawyer) who served in four countries and deployed three times to the Balkans. Professor Graham served in the Office of National Drug Control Policy in the Executive Office of the President and Washington tours in the Missile Defense Agency and the Joint Staff.

His significant Army assignments included tours as the Staff Judge Advocate (senior legal officer), U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command, the Staff Judge Advocate, U. S. Army Japan, and the Deputy Staff Judge Advocate, U. S. Army V Corps in Heidelberg, Germany. Professor Graham holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He also holds Master of Laws Degrees from the George Washington University (Environmental Law) and the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s School (Military Law). He attended the Judge Advocate General Officer Basic and Graduate Courses, and completed the Army Command and General Staff College.

Professional Interests: Teaching and legal and management development training. Travel.
