AUR students contribute to World Food Programme’s Campaign
November 28, 2007: This November, students in Professor Kristen Palana's ART/COM241 Digital Imaging class participated in a logo design competition for their real-world "client," The UN's World Food Programme. Students were asked to create simple, unique, functional, and aesthetically-pleasing logos that portray the WFP’s new online media festival called Tell the World About Hunger.
Representatives from the Fight Hunger Division of The World Food Programme, Cordelia Salter-Nour and Susanne Thornquist chose two logos by AUR resident students, John Persico and Amin El Medani to be used as official logos on their website at www.fighthunger.org. However, all the entries are currently featured on the website along with
student biographies and photos.
